Suspect a gas leak in Glasgow?
If you smell gas, do not switch anything electrical on or off. Open the windows, turn the supply off at the meter and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first — they make the supply safe free of charge. Once the emergency is contained, they will cap the appliance or pipework and it is then down to a Gas Safe registered engineer to trace, repair and recommission it. That is where we come in.
We carry out gas tightness tests, trace the fault with electronic detection, repair the pipework and re-certify the installation so your appliances can be turned back on safely.
Why the Gas Safe register matters
Anyone can call themselves a gas fitter; only a Gas Safe registered engineer may legally work on gas in Scotland. Illegal work invalidates home insurance, fails at sale, and carbon monoxide from a badly fitted appliance kills. Ask any engineer at your door — including ours — to show their card, and check the appliance types listed on the back match the job.
Landlords, letting agents and factors
We handle gas safety inspections and certificates for landlords across Glasgow, with reminders before renewal, digital certificates emailed the same day, and monthly invoicing for agents managing multiple properties. Repairs found during an inspection can usually be completed on the spot rather than requiring a separate visit.

Gas Engineer Glasgow — FAQs
Are your gas engineers Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every engineer is Gas Safe registered and carries their ID card, which shows the appliance categories they are qualified to work on. You are entitled to ask to see it at the door and we expect you to.
Can you install a gas cooker or hob in Glasgow?
Yes. We disconnect the old appliance, check the bayonet or rigid connection, install and test the new one, and leave you the paperwork. If the existing supply point is in the wrong place we can move or extend the pipework at the same visit.
I can smell gas — what should I do?
Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately, open windows, avoid electrical switches and turn off the supply at the meter. Once they have made the supply safe, we can trace the fault, repair the pipework and recommission your appliances.
Do you work on LPG as well as mains gas?
Yes. We are qualified for LPG appliances, regulators, changeover valves and bulk tank connections for properties off the mains gas network around Glasgow and across rural Lanarkshire.
How much does a gas engineer cost in Glasgow?
Standard jobs such as cooker installations and safety checks are fixed-price and quoted on the phone. Larger pipework jobs are quoted in writing after a look at the property, and we never start chargeable work without your agreement.
Do you cover towns outside Glasgow?
Yes — Coatbridge, Airdrie, Hamilton, Motherwell, East Kilbride, Bellshill, Cumbernauld, Wishaw, Paisley, Falkirk, Livingston, Lanark and the surrounding areas.
