Installing a complete central heating system is the biggest single job most homeowners commission from a heating company. Knowing the sequence removes most of the stress.
Survey and heat loss calculation
Every radiator is sized from a room-by-room heat loss calculation, not guesswork. Older Glasgow sandstone properties lose far more heat per square metre than a modern Cumbernauld estate house, and the radiator schedule has to reflect that.
The installation sequence
A typical three-bedroom install runs like this:
- Day one: floors lifted where needed, pipework routed, old system drained and stripped
- Day two: radiators hung, boiler mounted, flue and condensate run
- Day three: system filled, cleaned, inhibitor dosed, controls wired and commissioned
- Handover: balancing, thermostat setup, paperwork and warranty registration

Only where necessary, and we agree routes with you first. Boards are refitted carefully.
Can I stay in the house?
