Around the Clyde Valley, Loch Lomond side and rural Ayrshire, mains gas simply is not available. LPG gives those properties conventional wet central heating with familiar boilers and controls.
How LPG differs from mains gas
LPG is heavier than air, so it collects at low level rather than dispersing upwards. That changes tank siting, pipework routing, ventilation and where appliances can be located. Boilers are also LPG-specific or converted with a manufacturer kit — never improvised.
Tanks, bulk supply and cylinders
Bulk tanks can be above ground or buried, with clearance distances from buildings and boundaries. Cylinder banks suit smaller demand. We work with your supplier on siting so the installation passes first time.
Servicing and safety checks
LPG appliances need the same annual servicing and safety checks as mains gas, carried out by an engineer with the LPG qualification on their Gas Safe registration. We hold that and cover rural properties throughout our 50-mile radius.
